Pictures from various canyons in Cache Valley!
Took my kids up Logan Canyon looking for what is referred to as "The Nunnery" or St. Anne's Retreat. It was a spooky place to be. Wandering around the grounds was mysterious to say the least. The cabins are amazing, but closed up which was disconcerting due to the fact that I desperately wanted to see inside the cabins. The swing set was especially eery. Looking at the swing set one could only imagine that many years ago children would swing on those swings, and where are those children now?
This is what we would consider the "children's cabin". The cabin itself is close to the swing set, as we walked closer to the small cabin we stopped dead in our tracks not knowing why. We could not go near that particular cabin; however, up until that cabin we were fine walking next to the buildings. Unsure of the true history behind St. Anne's Retreat, this small cabin must have a story.
Providence Canyon is closed due to road damage caused by water. We spent an afternoon walking to the top of the canyon and it was absolutely beautiful.
I would say in June of this year I was able to drive my Xterra up this road! That was an amazing drive, I loved every second of it. Now the road is closed so we walked to the top and this is the view as we were making our way down.
This waterfall is at the top of Providence Canyon. Fun walk to the waterfall and well worth the work.
